Meet the Stylist
Hey, I’m Ahneva, but feel free to call me Nevs! Even before I could form words, I’ve had a strong passion for hair and everything to do with beauty. I remember watching my mother work with her clients’ hair and begging her to let me help.
The versatility of natural hair has always fascinated me, and I wanted to know as much about it as possible. Over the years I’ve learned quite a bit about the beauty industry while interning at several salons. In 2017, I attended the Soul 2 Sole Cosmetology Academy and became a certified Cosmetologist. Since graduating I have completed a yearlong apprenticeship at Total Image Beauty Salon and further courses specifically focused on natural hair.
Women have often expressed to me how hard it’s been for them to care for their natural hair. As a result, they often want to go back to relaxers. This caused my desire to specialise in natural hair to grow, as I realised there is an increasing need for Natural Hair Specialists here, in St. Kitts.
At The Beauty Lab, my motto is “All curls welcome,” because I want to help all naturalistas embrace their curls and teach them how to have bouncy and beautiful curls in between salon visits!
