Meet the Stylist
Hey, I’m Ahneva, but you can call me Nevs! Even before I could form words, my passion for hair and beauty has been undeniable. I fondly remember watching my mother work with her clients’ hair and eagerly begging her to let me help.
The versatility of natural hair has always fascinated me, and I’ve made it my mission to learn everything I can about it. From the age of 14, I worked in salons as an assistant and freelanced in makeup, gaining valuable experience in the beauty industry. In the summer of 2017, I enrolled at the Soul 2 Sole Cosmetology Academy, where I graduated as a certified cosmetologist in 2018. Following that, I completed a yearlong apprenticeship at Total Image Beauty Salon and pursued further courses focused specifically on natural hair.
Since opening The Beauty Lab in 2020, I’ve been dedicated to specializing in natural hair. I’ve often heard women express how challenging it can be to care for their natural hair, which sometimes leads them to consider going back to relaxers. This realization fueled my desire to focus on natural hair, as I’ve seen a growing need for Natural Hair Specialists here in St. Kitts.
At The Beauty Lab, my motto is “All curls welcome!” I’m dedicated to helping all naturalistas embrace their curls and teaching them how to maintain bouncy, beautiful hair between salon visits.
